All advanced bookings will only be secured with a minimum 20% deposit and the full balance paid at least 1 month before your arrival. Bookings within 1 month of your activity must be paid in full prior to arrival.
Refunds are available at ADAMS SURF SCHOOL’s discretion up to 1 week before your arrival/activity. Refunds will not be available after this time although we will do our best to accommodate an alternative date.
All bookings with other providers including accommodation form a contract with them and not with ADAMS SURF SCHOOL.
In the event of other activities being cancelled or accommodation dates not being available we will of course do our best to resolve any difficulties but can not be held responsible for such events which are outside of our control.
A copy of our full risk assessment is available on request. All activities are undertaken at your own risk and no responsibility can be taken by ADAMS SURF SCHOOL for loss of valuables or any other belongings whilst you are participating.
If you suffer from any medical condition that may affect your safety (or the safety of other water users) please give us details prior to undertaking your activity and bring it to the attention of your instructor.
All medical information will be treated in the strictest confidence and will not be disclosed to anyone other than the staff at ADAMS SURF SCHOOL.
Conditions that should be disclosed include but are not restricted to, heart problems, asthma, epilepsy, allergies, medication being taken, or any other medical condition likely to be made worse by participating in a surfing course.
You understand that ADAMS SURF SCHOOL and its staff, whilst taking all reasonable care cannot be held responsible for any loss, or damage to, their clients’ personal property/valuables.
Surfing is a dangerous sport. Many people get injured and even die whilst surfing or learning to surf each year. Some of the hazards include; An uneven seabed (that may or may not be covered by the sea), Obstacles on the sea bed (that may or may not be covered by the sea), Sea life, Currents, Cold water, Tidal rips, Other surfers, Other surfboards, Other water users.
As a result you should take care when getting on an off your board (ALWAYS GET OFF YOUR BOARD IN A CONTROLLED STEP/MOVEMENT – NO JUMPING!) and also whilst on/getting to the beach. You agree to also keep a constant check of your bearings. For example are you; Near other surfers/boards, Within your depth, Confident you can get back to shore without assistance, Being transported by the tide.
IF YOU ARE EVER IN DIFFICULTY THE SIGNAL FOR HELP IS RIGHT HAND STRAIGHT UP IN THE AIR. ALWAYS OBEY YOUR INSTRUCTORS’ SIGNALS.
ADAMS SURF SCHOOL SHALL NOT BE HELD LIABLE I RESPECT OF ANY LOSS OF LIFE OR INJURY TO PERSON OR THE LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY (INCLUDING DUE TO NEGLIGENCE OR WILFUL DEFAULT OF ADAMS SURF SCHOOL TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW). YOU ACCEPT LIABILITY FOR AND SHALL INDEMNIFY ADAMS SURF SCHOOL AGAINST ANY CLAIM FOR SUCH LOSS, INJURY OR DAMAGE (INCLUDING DUE TO NEGLIGENCE OR WILFUL DEFAULT OF ADAMS SURF SCHOOL TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW).
YOU ACCEPT THAT SURFING IS A DANGEROUS SPORT AND TAKE PART IN THE SURFING COURSE HAVING UNDERSTOOD THESE DANGERS AND HAVING READ AND UNDERSTOOD THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
